Although a beneficial treatment
for a number or problems and stress,
reflexology cannot guarentee or
claim to cure diseases and serious
health problems.
Reflexologists, albeit trained
in foot massage and reflexology,
are not medically trained like other
practitioners in health care. This
does not however dismiss their value.
There is a risk, as with any alternative
treatment that the person being
treated believes that the foot massage
is actually treating an illness
when they need medical attention
rather than just reflexology.
Like any treatment a session with
a trained specialist can be expensive,
particularly if treatment is on
a regular basis.
If the treatment is particularly
heavy on the persons feet then then
may fell slight discomfort during
and after the accupressure session.
As with an area of the skin, rubbing
of the foot may cause a slight irritation
thought this would be rare and likely
very mild.
Some people may have sensitive
feet and so find that the treatment
tickles.
